Brown rice is so versatile. Use it with stews, soups, roasted veggies, stir fry etc. I buy a sprouted brown rice as it cooks quicker and you get more nutrients from it.

Instructions
- Place rice, water and salt (optional) in pot and bring to a boil.
- Cover and reduce heat to low.
- Simmer for 50 minutes if it is short grain, and 35 minutes if it is long grain.
- When done, pull from heat and let stand covered for 10 minutes.
- Fluff rice with fork before serving.
- I like a sprouted brown rice as its quicker and you get more nutrients from it.
